We have always been drawn to artwork that feels as though it has a story to tell- the faded color, softened surfaces, subtle imperfections and patina that make antique pieces so compelling.
Tropical Tapestry grew from the idea that this sense of history could be brought into today's homes in a way that feels relaxed, and beautifully unexpected.
Our oversized paper tapestries combine art with a hand-finishing process designed to give every piece its own timeworn character.

After printing, each Tropical Tapestry is individually antiqued, distressed and humbled by hand.
Layers of glaze soften the artwork and create warmth and patina. The surface is carefully distressed, then worked by hand to introduce the creases, variation and irregularities associated with something that has aged naturally.
Because much of this process is done by hand, no two tapestries will ever be exactly alike.
